Crocus flowers

I don't know the variety, they came up the first spring we lived here.

Deutzia 'Rosea Plena'

Echinops flower head.

Only one tiny flower had opened, right at the top of the sphere.

Euphorbia 'Redwing'
flowers.

This plant flowers in winter and looks wonderful in the bright, low light. It looks almost luminous.

Achillea 'Colorado' with mixed grasses. I didn't realise the Achilleas would be so pink and nearly pulled them all out. Glad I changed my mind.

Mixed Hellebore flowers

These flowers were arranged by a gardener whose garden we went to see.

Pink Hellebore flower

A close-up from the arrangement. Don't know the variety.

Althaea rosea (hollyhock) buds

The first flowering of this plant in my garden. They eventually reached about 10 feet high.

Humulus lupulus 'Aureus' (Golden hop) 1

I was pleased with the way the leaves glowed against the black metal.
