	Mixed autumn leaves. 2003 was a fantastic autumn with very intense colours.		Young beech leaves 1. These delicate leaves could almost be made of silk.
	Young beech leaves 2		Opening ash leaves. One of the first trees to leaf out in spring.
	Broughton woods in summer.		Pine needle cluster. As the needles fell, they dropped onto lower branches in clusters.
	Hanging needles 1. These ones look a bit like clothes pegs.		Hawthorn hedge, late in the afternoon, in autumn. The late sun brought out the rich colours of the hedge.
