Euonymus europaeus berries in winter.

 

This native shrub grows well in Broughton woods and gives bright spots of colour over winter.

The stream that runs through East wood has masses of these flowers in spring. You don't really notice them from the path and need to cross the field to see them.

One of the many wild roses that grows in West wood. This one is much paler than many of the others.
